An interesting project where you just need to slot them together to create a sphere
All parts can be designed to be printed without any support or base. You just need to print them.60an arm,20a three-way connector and12Assemble it with five-pin connectors. The version shown in the picture uses a 6-centimeter arm, creating a deployed shape of about 25 centimeters. However, if you want a larger version, other arm lengths are also available.
Assembly tips:
It took me about 30 minutes to assemble it. There might be many ways to do this - but here's what I did:
#1: The design of the top/bottom connectors includes a small snap-lock mechanism, so you just need to place the arm pieces and then firmly squeeze the top and bottom pieces together.
#2: Assemble all 20 sets of arms independently using three-way connectors.
#3: Use a five-way connector to connect the five assembled three-way connectors together. It is important to ensure that the five-way connector and the three-way connector are facing in opposite directions
If you do it correctly, all 15 arms should be able to fold together as shown in the second picture below.
#4: Now comes the fun part! Use five-way connectors to connect the remaining three-way kits around the sphere
I finished the assembly with my two hands, but it would definitely be easier if you could gather a second group. You can do it in any order, but here's a picture of what it looked like when I was halfway through:
