Summary
Thin Spool Holder for Dry Filament Box (Thing 4056923)
A few months ago i published a "Dry Filament Box" link wich is very useful to safe filament from huminity while printing. Normaly the box is fine to use with the given configuration, means 4 bearing balls and 2 axes are carrying the spool and doing the right friction.
Sometimes, you want much less friction, for example, if you are using a direct extruder and a housing. So you need this small "addon" to the Box.
The holder will be setted to the former bearing ball cages flat side to outside. In the cones you have to insert the bearing balls from the box (only one each cone).
Additionaly you need a threaded rod M8 about 90..10mm long as the rotating axis.
Version 2
Now i finished the next generation of this thing. There are several Improvements:
-Cones are shortened better matching to 700g...1000g Spools with less "screw work".
-Windings are improved too, less post-processing work to match.
-Cones got holes for fingers for easier handling
-Bearing-Ball seats are extended 0.5mm for better matching
-The wall was splitted into a WallDeep and a Wall Flat.
-Now walls will not tilt, they remain in position
-Axis will now be hanged simply into walls. Easier handling.
Version 3 (6. May 2021)
I recognised that some spools doesn´t fit in outer diameter, so i enlaged the Walls 5mm, matching spools, but matching housing too.
-5mm more space for spools with big diameter
-Wallthickness doubled (more stability) for heavy spools

Notes:
Please don´t use Support if it is possible. Otherwise you will spend a lot of hours to remove it. Print slower and maximum accuracy because of the windings of the thread.
Post-Printing
Use sandpaper and flat and triangulare file to make thread working together.
Use freezing spray to make PLA easier to be reworked.
Because of version 2 not much work should be needed to fit cones.
