Summary
So i needed some kind of riser or stand to lift a heavy suitcase eurorack synth clear of my beatstep Pro which is sloped and angled. The Beatstep Pro sits in front of the eurorack and the cables got in the way of the eurorack controls. This is a remix of The Simple Speaker Stand by Hobsie. triangle holes were made to both cut down on the material to print it and for a flashy aesthetic lol. The photo's only show one but if you are lifting something big and heavy like a 9u 104hp Eurorack i would suggest printing 2 (my other one is currently being printed). I think you could probably get a faster print by messing with the slicer settings, mine took me 9 hours at 0.2mm and i slowed the print speed down as i had a couple of failed prints at higher speeds (although the culprit was a partially blocked nozzle!)
12/09/25 - Added a sloping stand for beatstep pro, this hooks onto the useful stand things and provides a secure sloped holder fo the beatstep, really happy with how this came out and i means that the whole thing is pretty "locked in". I've included the first version of this which has a notch cutout in the bottom and you could print a bar of plastic to link the two stands together for further security. i changed my mind on this and just included the little supports at the bottom of the stand instead (as the bar would have needed to be larger than i could print on the 5m and i couldn't get orca slicer to slice the bar satisfactorily). The Beatstep Pro stand does not need supports btw, just print them on their sides.
Bu the options there if you need. Forgive the mismatched colours of the final thing, i ran out of the lovely pink filament!
I've called it the useful stand thing as i suspect it would be great for lots of applications!

Printed in the use position (i.e. upright), used supports, three wall layers but would probably be fine with 2 and i suspect would be fine at 10% infill instead of the 15% i printed at. i didn't use rafts or brims but i guess that depends on your bed and adhesion.
This printed super clean at 0.2 layer height and 230 degrees temp. I used a bed temp of 55 Degrees.
