This is a special wrench I designed, to allow me to remove/install the latch in the caribou side cases, without needing to disassemble the latch mechanism itself. Can be manipulated by hand, but also has provision for a ¼" square drive, if you want to get more leverage or put a torque wrench on it.

This allows me to have a spare “mechanical fuse” already adjusted to the correct length, tucked into my gear. If there's an accident that rips a case off, I can just swap the hardware, and get back on the road.

This is intended to be printed with 24 perimeters (effectively solid, concentric infill), out of an engineering material (nylon, polycarbonate), but I'm testing it in PETG, for starters. It could also be easily made from laser cut sheet metal, from various online vendors.

Cariboucases.com is where I got the mount kit. I don't know if this will work with their mount kits for other rack manufacturers, but it's worth a shot!
