The luggage is pushing 20 years old -but still works great. Except the handle quite extending/retracting.

Did some digging and found the button to be broke inside the handle. I found one on the site here for Samsonite luggage. It looked just like the one I broke, but it didn't quite fit.

This is for the medium sized "WorldBound" brand luggage.

I had the peices of my broken button, and used a Creaform 3D scanner to create a surface mesh. I imported that into solidworks to easily get the critical dimentions. I beefed up the areas that seemed weak. I believe this button is better than the original.
