This model is a recreated version based on Airfish.Thingiverse project: 2189652)for Kirbs's Flexi RexThingiverse project: 1759297This is another optimization and reconstruction made by Zheng3. The original model of Airfish was likely inspired by Zheng3's "Flexy Rex".Thingiverse project: 929413)。
When I was printing the original model of Kirbs, I found that its hinge structure was slightly fragile, and one connection broke after rough handling. To address this, I comprehensively reinforced the connection structures of the handle, significantly enhancing its overall strength. This means that compared to the original model, this model can even be printed smaller without compromising the user experience due to weak hinges. Of course, you can also freely enlarge or reduce the model size as needed.

Remark:
This model does not require the addition of support structures. To ensure the strength of the hinge, I adopted a 3-layer outer contour line design - this approach is more reliable than simply relying on increasing the filling density to enhance strength. If the filling density is too high, the overall balance of the model may be affected due to the heavier weight of the head. If you want to further improve stability, you can select higher filling density for the leg components as needed.
After the model is removed from the build platform, it should be able to move smoothly and freely. If you spray a mold-releasing spray on the glass platform for printing, and the model is cooled and demolded, Rex will sometimes pop up on its own and assume various random poses. If you still need to forcefully pry it when unlocking the hinges, then there may be room for improvement in your printing process.
The printing difficulty of this model is not high. If you fail to print this kind of model for the first time, you will inevitably encounter similar problems with other models in the future.
