These are models of metal clamps (adjustable stops) for the Harig Grind-All grinding fixture, as shown in the photos. I purchased one of these used at an auction; it was missing the adjustable stops so I thought I would make some.
A helpful member of a machinist forum was kind enough to send me dimensions from the unit that he had, so I was able to create a CAD model and make dimensioned drawings (included here) for machining purposes. Since I already had the CAD model, I thought it would be useful to make a 3D print in order to test fit the model to confirm the dimensions.
Although Harig still sells replacement parts (as of April 2023), others who need these parts may want to try making their own, so I am publishing the information here. In addition, for some non-precision applications, the plastic parts may well be a usable substitute.
Note : As can be seen from the photos, the Harig stops come in two sizes. I was able to get dimensions for the larger size only, but I think it is safe to say that the smaller stop is simple a half-size (approximately) version of the larger one.
Print Instructions
Print in PLA using the 3mf file provided; otherwise :
- 0.2mm layer height
- 20% grid infill
- support on build plate only
- orient with dovetail side up
