This Iris fully opens/closes by pushing a lever through 47 degrees. It uses 12 leaves that pivot in the base and slide in/out within the slots in the top as the top rotates. Note that rotating the top too far in either direction can damage the Iris.

I developed this project as an experiment with complex printed moving parts.

The Fusion360 design file is included, so feel free to extend/enhance. I've tried to use parametric sketches to determine the shape, so it should be easy to adjust the dimensions to suit, or just scale the supplied STL files in your slicer before printing..

All parts should print without supports or brims.
