I was impressed with Eugene's Coin Sorters and the evolution he has made on this item. There were a couple improvements I thought I could make. The first was modifying the tubes by extending the main body and coin tubes slightly so that I could adjust each tube to what standard coin rolls hold (50 pennies, 40 nickels, etc.). I could only verify the height of the quarters and pennies as I didn't have enough dimes of nickels. Please let me know if either of them need adjustment to be flush and I can edit the files. The math should be right.

I then added a full round top to the main body and combined the pin sticking up on top as one piece. This was problematic as 6-8 hours later I had a fantastic looking part except for the pin on top was all misshaped. The cross-section of the layers being so small that there is not enough time for the part to cool down.

I also had some concerns as well that due to the holding power of the hopper and the layers running horizontally, there might be a potential to snap off the pin. Not wanting to rebuild the whole part if this were to happen, I revised the design so that the pin is a separate piece (along with an additional shim) that you insert thru a slot in the quarter opening. First insert the pin and slid upward. Then insert the shim in the remaining void. Being trapped from below, it will withstand the pull force of taking the hopper off each time and doesn't require any glue or screws.

I have since found a new base by Dralion that is similar to my first attempt and a very nice looking part. He combined the pin which gave me trouble and I also assume his part will be too short for my tubes.
