Summary
Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there! This neck tie should do the trick of getting them something unique that actually resembles a traditional tie. It is made of many small pieces that are clipped together, so the resulting tie is flexible and lightweight.
There are several sizes of pieces, ranging from five 12 mm wide diamonds (the top section is 60 mm wide overall) to five 15 mm wide diamonds (the bottom is 75 mm wide overall). They should be assembled in order of size so that the neck tie is smaller at the top and wider at the bottom. The bottom-most link should be cut twice (with scissors or wire clippers) so that instead of 5 diamonds wide there is a three diamond section and a one-diamond section. These may then be assembled in the middle of the section above to create the bottom pointed part of the tie.
To fit myself (it came out a bit long and I have a slightly taller torso than some), I printed 5 of each size piece. Other people may require fewer or more to fit properly.
There is no support required for this print. There are small 2mm long bridges (the receptacles for the clips) from which it would be impossible to extract the tiny amount of support material. It may be required to turn off the support material option.
The knot is designed to be secured to a shirt by use of a 3/4 inch wide strap or piece of fabric.
Assembly may be done with a pair of needle nose pliers to fit the clips into the slots.
