Garden hose fittings are often too hard to turn, especially when they are wet and they have corroded a bit. So, I designed a press-on grip to help make it easier to turn.

You want a full infill since this thing is pressed onto the hose fitting.

Notice that there is a chamfer on one side of the inner diameter. You will press the grip onto the hose fitting from this side. It will make it easier to install since there is a .020" interference fit.

Put the hose into a vise and close it lightly on the hose body so the connector ring rests on top of the vise. Place the grip, chamfer down, onto the hose connector ring and place a board over it. Carefully hammer the grip onto the connector. Remember, this is a tight fit, so make sure you keep it level as you hammer it down.

Since there is likely some knurl on the connector ring, there is no need for glue to hold it in position.

I made this using Carbon Fiber filled PLA, just because that's what I had. I suspect standard PLA will work just as well.

I use SketchUp. I've included the file in case you need to modify the inside diameter or the height to fit your hose connector.
