Small hat clip / holder that was made to hold a flood light to my hat. 
The design use a downward angle to project light towards the ground.
 

Was made for backcountry skiing. Tested and works well for me.

Simply push the light by its side. A small plastic screw can be threaded by the back to secure it in place.
