The original design by @overcast_135954531 is exactly what I was looking for but as others have noted, it feels a bit flimsy.  I have provided a center piece that adds stability and helps prevent the rectangle from racking.

I found a pair of 150mm copper tubes on Amazon for less than $10 that are perfect for this model.
