I’m finding, as I get older, clipping my toenails is becoming increasingly awkward as the old leg muscles stiffen. So I checked Amazon for something to help make this easier.
Sure, Amazon will sell you a helpful gadget but they start at around £38 a pop. So I designed this. Providing your nail clippers (as most do) have a hole through the rivet securing the two metal ‘leaves’, just bolt it into the base with a 16mm M3 nut and bolt and you’re good to go. Cost: a little over £3 in PLA.
To get the greatest possible length, the two parts are set on the print bed from corner to corner. So they’re close to the edge and I found it necessary to ensure the print bed is scrupulously clean to avoid warping and corners lifting.
Go on, give it a go. Could be a useful Xmas gift for your granny.
