I made a handle for the top cover that holds down the lid with two 12x12mm neodium magnets. The magnets are mounted in the handle and are powerful enough to hold the lid down through the plexiglass lid. It fits right on the two holes that were for the rivets so no drilling at the front. At the back I used the hinges from Alex (@Alex_137050) https://www.printables.com/model/171025-ridged-print-in-place-hinge because they fitted the purpose perfectly. I had to drill holes to mount them Burt is fits nice.

Because the screws used are fitted from the bottom of the hinge I made a cover to cover cup the nuts that stick out at the top. I might change that later if I get a better idea.
