Summary
This is a large egg with print-in-place flower petal hinged sides. Its secured at the top with a screw nut. This could be good for gifts, Easter, or perhaps as a Harry Potter golden egg prop. The egg is about 215 mm tall and 140mm wide. I left a fair mount of clearance in the moving parts so it might scale down.
Note: I made a small change to the hinge after printing my version. I have included a full width hinge test file for you to check your settings. I didn't need another large egg and so did not reprint it in its entirety.

Notes:
I printed at 0.32 mm layer height to keep the print time to a manageable 25 hours. I used automatic supports in Simplify 3d. I created 3 processes for printing the egg itself. Once below the hinge, one at the hinge, and one above. For the processes above and below the hinge, I used 2 shells and 20% infill. For the process at the hinge I used 5 shells and 100% infill. The hing process extended from 66mm to 73mm. I did this because a previous print failed at the hinge when I tried to open the egg. If you use lower infill settings be sure to check your cross section at the hinge to verify that all hinges have adequate infill.
Once printed, gentle pressure and perhaps a little cutting with a craft knife should free the segments.
