The far too fragile back soldering of the plastic cover of my Eibos Cyclopes broke.
As I find this filament dryer very unpractical, I've decided that it was the opportunity to improve it at the same time.
I cut the top of the cover with my Dremel, added car door protection to protect edges and designed a hinge in order to be able to load the spools from the top, and especially to facilitate the filament loading on top holes.
I've designed a drill guide to make it easier to drill the plastic parts accurately.
I've also made a simple reinforcement part to strengthen the broken case, used pop rivets to link them.
I strongly advise to print all parts in PA-CF to ensure strength and heat resistance.
You'll need 5x M3x10 screws and 5x M3 insert too.
To link the hinge parts together I've used a nylon 1.75mm filament.
