I didn't like the look of printing text on my filament swatches and I have poor handwriting, so I decided to embed NFC chips inside them that contain filament information. This also allows for more characters, links, images, etc. It fits NFC 215 tags that I bought from Amazon linked below. Included is some example G-Code I sliced for PETG on my Prusa Mini. It stops and waits for you to insert the tag, then prints over it.
