Summary
Full graphics display case (Anet A6) for AM8 frame
For my own build of the AM8 frame upgrade of the Anet A8 printer i needed to alter some elements of the frame. One of those is the screen case. Ever since getting an auto level sensor and Skynet 3D installed on my printer i upgraded to an A6 screen. I hated the push buttons of the standard A8 printer.
I also wanted the case for the screen to have no visible screws on the front plate. So i modelled this case after an existing design for the A6 screen. Which attach the connecting brackets from the back. Also i wanted to include a back cover for the screen as i wanted my build to be as finished as possible.
In my build photo's of the finished product you can see i printed a version with text on the front plate. For this print i needed to use supports, but the design is made so you can print without supports if you place the front plate down in the slicer.
The files i share are therefore without text on the front plate. Off course one could edit the STL files to include text if wanted.
Also the back plate is not necessary (the screws from the brackets just pass through the backplate into the front plate) but in my opinion it completes the build to a nicer level.
(You may need to snip off the pertruding pins of the back of the screen board for the back cover to sit flush)
The brackets are labeled 1 and 2, these are the left and right brackets.
Small update:
Added the design file for Fusion 360 as requested.
This file is a combined file for the whole AM8 frame with all my custom modifications so far.
