Summary

The Interceptor V2 is a 1m wingspan forward-swept flying wing with twin tractor motors. It is free to download. This is a fast and nimble RC model designed for intermediate to advanced pilots. It can be flown both LOS & FPV.

This is the second version of my popular Interceptor flying wing. This new version offers the same great performance but with many new features such as detachable wings, reduced drag, larger battery bay, launching finger holds and a fuselage landing skid.

Please note that this model has been provided free of charge for RC hobbyists. It is NOT to be used for drone warfare.

This second version of the Interceptor has a number of new features which include:

Detachable wings - the wings are now secured using clamps underneath the wings. They work together with magnets to hold the wings securely.
Fuselage skid - the skid helps prevent damage to the fuselage, it can be replaced if needed.
Larger fuselage - the fuselage is now a little bit longer and wider, it can now fit a 6S 21700 Li-ion.
Streamlined fuselage - the fuselage now has a pointier nose and tail for reduced drag and improved efficiency.
Updated motor mounts - the motor mounts now provide a more secure attachment with reduced drag.
Middle elevon hinge - the additional hinge helps secure the elevon and prevent flutter especially at high speeds.
Larger wing - the wing area has been increased a little bit to allow for a larger payload.
Smaller tail fins - the tail fins have been shrunk a little bit to reduce drag and weight.
Straight servo linkages - the servo linkages are now running straight to help reduce drag.
Finger holds - the fuselage now has finger holds making it easier to launch safely.

Options

The Interceptor V2 can be printed with twin tail fins or a single tail fin. The default twin tail fin version is recommended for most setups. The additional tail fin positioned behind the CG line helps with balancing, especially with FPV setups. The single tail fin version helps to reduce weight and drag. There are also other optional parts for customization. These parts can be found in the "Accessories" folder.

NEWS

January 2026 - The Interceptor V2 wing has been updated. The wing is now closer in shape to the original V1 Interceptor. It offers improved handling.

Accessories added - FPV canopy parts & motor mounts with 16x16mm & 19x19mm mounting patterns added.
Canopy Front & Rear modified - the cut line has been moved to make the canopy more suitable for FPV setups.
Nose & Fuselage Mid modified - alignment tabs similar to those used for the wing panels have been added to the top of the fuselage. This make it much easier to attach the nose.
