Summary
This a quick mounting mono-pod for a go pro, based on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:716223. The mounts are strengthened compared to that, to compensate for the use of PLA instead of ABS.
It quick-attaches to 1" square things, like fences or awnings and you can then adjust the Go Pro at the top in 2 ways - tilt and pan - or 3 if you include the additional tilt on the Go Pro case mount itself.
It was made to hold the camera used to record the finishing line of athletics events.

To grip the post, it uses brake pads off a mountain bike. The mast is a 600mm x 12mm dia, steel rod. The Go Pro mount at top is actually just shaped ready to receive one of the Go Pro adhesive bases i.e. you will still need to attach one of those (I imagined there is a patent on that so decided against integrating the clip directly to the adjustable .
NOTE 1: Make sure you are you are mindful of the weight of whatever you attach to it. The locking mechanism is stronger than the plastic. It will break before the bracket slips most times.
NOTE 2: you do not need to apply a lot of force to get it to grip. Be gentle.
NOTE 3: you will see in the photos/video I used an M8 bolt to lock the pan function. The hole in the part is printed at 7.4mm dia. which I then drill to 7.5mm dia.. You can tap a thread to match the pitch on the bolt you use.

You will need:
-12mm dia. steel bar (should be at least 500mm long)
-M6x50mm Hexagonal Head Bolt
-M8x35mm Hexagonal Head Bolt
-32mm flat washer x 2 for Antenna base
-3x brake pads (eg, for mountain bike). You may need to modify the part to fit the pads you buy. You can check the rhino to see the exact dimensions of the pads I used.
-Araldite or similar for glueing the washers on to the part and attaching fixing the mast.
It prints fine on a household printer. It is about the biggest print you can fit on a Up! plus.
Make sure each part is printed 'solid'
