Everything breaks at some point, even your locking mechanism of your cap. But don't throw it away: This part is designed to fix those broken mechanisms

Because the original part would be subjected to high forces, I have desided to design a clip instead, which is capable of holding the forces.

Printing

You can easily print the clip with PLA, as long as you use the right settings. I recommend 6 walls to ensure a strong, solid part. Furthermore, make sure to change the setting "seam position" to "back" instead of the standard value to avoid seams in areas with the highest stress.
This will ensure maximum stability when printing with the given orientation.

Remixing/Editing

I have tested this configuration of the design with various caps and it work very good. However, if you want to change so of the dimensions, I have included a folder for remixing with a .step file and the original Fusion design you can easyly change by editing the parameters. Everything should follow your adjustments of the parameters and every parameter is explained there as well, so don't hesitate to try it out!
