This lid riser helps dry filament more effectively by letting more cool, dry air in. I found it helps the most when the filament is really wet. This is because when the dryer is completely closed, the air inside gets humid quickly from the moisture leaving the filament. Leaving a small gap will cost a bit more power to hold the high temperature, but it will keep the internal humidity much lower.

I designed it so that when you aren't using the riser, you can just flip it upside down and still keep it on the dryer. This way, it’s always right where you need it.
