🛠️ My Bambu Lab P1S Settings using Geeetech Silk Gold PLA - Other Silk PLA is likely similar

To get that ultra-shiny, first-place finish shown in the photos using Geeetech Silk Gold PLA, you need to print a bit hotter and slower than standard PLA. Here are the dialed-in settings for the Bambu Lab P1S:

Filament & Slicer Settings (Bambu Studio)

• Filament Profile: Clone the Generic PLA Silk preset.
• Nozzle Temperature: 225°C – 230°C (Other Layers). Silk needs the extra heat to melt the shiny additives uniformly.
• Bed Temperature: 60°C – 65°C (Textured PEI Plate).
• Max Volumetric Speed: Cap at 7.5 mm³/s – 10 mm³/s. This forces the printer to slow down so the gold shine remains perfectly consistent.
• Outer Wall Speed: Drop down to 50 mm/s – 60 mm/s. Printing the outer walls too fast will turn the gold a matte/milky color.
• Infill: 10% - 15% (Gyroid recommended).
• Layer Height: 0.16mm (makes the text pop beautifully).
• Supports: Minimal tree supports may be needed for the trophy handles depending on your printer's bridging comfort.

Because the P1S is fully enclosed, heat can build up quickly when printing slowly with a hot bed. To prevent heat creep or clogs, crack the front glass door open slightly or remove the top glass lid entirely while printing this model.

Alternatively, you can just use the standard Generic PLA Silk profile and switch the printer to "Silent Mode" (50% speed) via the screen or Bambu Handy app once the print starts!
