Miniature office desk model document
I. Source of inspiration 💡
The inspiration for this miniature office desk model stems from the miniature replication of modern office scenes. It artistically refines the core elements of daily office work - desks, chairs, desk lamps, books, etc. - at a scale of about 1:12. The original intention of the design is to create a desktop decoration that combines realism and refinement. It can not only serve as a showcase for 3D printing technology, but also evoke people's emotional resonance with the workplace, making cold office furniture warm and interesting in a miniature world.
II. Printing Requirements ⚙️
1. Basic configuration
- Recommended consumables: PLA / PETG
- Printing temperature: nozzle 200–210℃, hotbed 60–70℃
- Layer thickness: 0.15–0.2mm
- Filling density: 15–20%
- Printing speed: 40–60mm/s. For fine parts
2. Configuration of special items
- Support: It must be added. The focus is on the desk lamp suspension arm, the suspended pages of books, the thin strips on the back of chairs, and the bottom of table legs. It is recommended to use easily removable support with moderate density, which is only generated in the suspended areas.
- Skirt edge: It is recommended to add it. It can prevent the edges of large flat surfaces such as desks and chairs from curling up and improve the adhesion at the bottom.
- Glue: The main body does not need glue. Only when the small parts
III. Print the assembly instructions 🛠️
1. Print in parts: The model is divided into independent parts such as the desktop, table legs, chairs, desk lamps, and books. It is recommended to print in parts to avoid excessive support and deformation.
2. Remove the support: Use diagonal pliers to cut off the root of the support, and then use a craft knife to smooth it out to avoid damaging the delicate parts.
3. Assembly:
- Insert the table legs into the reserved holes in the tabletop, and they can be firmly fixed without the need for glue.
- Place the chair, desk lamp, and books directly on the desk. If you need to fix them in place, you can apply a small amount of glue to the contact points.
- The angle of the desk lamp's joint can be finely adjusted. If you want to lock it, you can apply glue to the joint.
IV. Precautions
- When disassembling the supports, it's essential to be patient. The small parts
- Before printing, be sure to check the model dimensions to ensure that the tolerances of all components match each other, avoiding over-tightening or over-loosening during assembly.
- If you are pursuing a higher quality finish, you can sand the surface after printing and then proceed with spray painting or line etching.
