Upgrade the 3D scanning turntable 🔧

After getting a 3D scanner, I quickly encountered a limitation—the original turntable was only 14 centimeters. It worked well for small parts, but anything larger would become inconvenient: poor stability, difficulty in centering, and lower scanning accuracy.

So I designed my own solution.

I modeled and printed a modular extension
— It has increased the working diameter
— It is composed of multiple segments
— Assemble it into a sturdy structure
— The locking joint eliminates the gap
— The oblique elements help to capture more geometric shapes during the scanning process.

In practice, it's like a transformable turntable - you can adjust its size according to the task.

Now:
✔️ Larger objects are easier to scan.
✔️ Fewer blind spots
✔️ The results are more stable and consistent
