Simple 3D Printed Mug
A clean, easy-to-print mug designed for everyday use, display, or just adding another successful print to your collection. Minimal shape, sturdy handle, and beginner-friendly geometry make this a great quick project.
Whether you actually drink from it or just use it as a desk prop for pens, tools, or random bolts you swear you’ll sort later — it gets the job done.
Size
Standard mug proportions — scales well up or down depending on your printer and intended use.
Print Settings
Supports: required
Brim/Raft: Optional, only if your bed adhesion is questionable
Layer Height: 0.2 mm recommended
Infill: 15–25% is plenty
Walls/Perimeters: At least 3 for strength
Orientation: Print upright (handle attached)
Filament Suggestions
PLA – Easiest to print, great for display or dry use
PETG – Better durability and temperature resistance
Note: Most 3D printed mugs are not food safe due to layer lines and bacteria buildup. If you want to drink from it, you’ll need proper food-safe sealing and coating.
