I have created a small, attractive dice tray with space for: 
4x +1/+1 dice 
4x -1/-1 dice 
12 small dice
Tray for tokens.
The counter dice measure 17 mm and the small dice measure 13 mm.
The smaller dice have a bit of wiggle room so you can grab them more easily.
