I would not use this for anything that matters – but I have a worn out hex bolt that acts as a pin in my snowblower.  15/16" won't go on the head.  1" strips.  My metrics don't go up that high….I put a little taper on the entry to allow it to push onto the head of the bolt.  

This works for my 1/2 " impact wrench.  Again – very over-kill but it needs to be used every now and then!
