I have some battery-powered motion sensor lights, and I got tired of changing the batteries all the time. Hardwiring them is easy but the wires ended up not staying in one place when it was all done, if that makes sense. This guide makes sure the wires enter/exit the device in one place, and they act as strain relief too, if you want.
First, figure out where the leads should go. If they're on the negative terminals, attach/solder the wires to the leads, then run the other end through the guide and press the guide over the terminals. If they're on the positive terminals, attach/solder wires to metal thumbtacks, then pull them through the guide and insert the guide over the negative terminals. If you have a combination of positive and negative, do one of each.
One of the included files (V3) contains internal pillars so you can turn the wires around without worrying that you'll pull them off the terminals. So if you're attaching wires on the left, like in the picture, but you want the wires to also come out of the left side, choose the appropriate model to print and fish the wires around the pillars. If you need to use thumbtacks, that same model will also work better since it's a little shorter.
Print this vertically with supports.
