Introduction
Drunken Marbles are chaotic little replacements for ordinary marbles, designed for marble runs, tracks, and mazes.
Their elongated shape and freely moving internal weight make them roll in an unpredictable, jerky, almost “tipsy” way, turning familiar tracks into completely different experiences. Sometimes they glide smoothly, sometimes they wobble, stall, suddenly accelerate, or escape turns you thought were safe.
A simple print with surprisingly entertaining behaviour.
Printing
The print itself is easy. PLA is fine. I use variable layer height to make the domed ends smoother. See the attached 3mf for inspiration. For weighting I use a 15-g fishing weight. Scale that down or up if you scale the model. By default the diameter of the marble is 19.7 mm, and the maximum length is 36.1 mm.
