This tool securely holds standard M3 hex nuts (designed for nuts measuring 7.5 × 6.495 mm — width across flats ≈6.5 mm with slight tolerance/outer dimension fit) during assembly in tight or awkward spots. It prevents the nut from spinning or dropping while you start the bolt/screw from the opposite side — perfect for 3D printer builds, electronics, RC models, furniture, or any M3 fastener work where fingers can't reach.
Key Features:
Custom pocket sized precisely for M3 hex nuts with 7.5 mm diagonal / 6.495 mm effective fit
Easy nut insertion and reliable grip during use
Compact, lightweight, and fully 3D printable
Printing Recommendations:
Orient with the long side vertical (standing upright) for best strength and minimal supports on critical gripping surfaces
Use organic/tree supports — they are easier to remove cleanly from the nut cavity and overhangs
Add an outer brim (recommended 8–10 mm) for excellent bed adhesion and to prevent tipping
Material: Works well in PLA, PETG, or ABS
0.2 mm layer height or finer for precision, you don't want the grainy texture when dealing with precision parts
Infill: 20–30% is usually sufficient; gyroid or cubic for balanced strength
More sizes will be made as I design more nuts/bolts
