The 3D model I made is a chess set, the kind we usually see, with the river dividing the two sides and 32 chess pieces in black and red.

Every chess piece in the model is made in a traditional style, round, and engraved with words like "general", "chariot", "horse", and "rook". The strokes of the characters are similar to those we write by hand, which looks quite familiar. The chessboard is square, with clear grid lines, and the positions of the Chu River and Han River are also marked out, just like the wooden chessboard we use at home.

I deliberately made the chess pieces a bit higher than the chessboard, so they look more three-dimensional when arranged and won't appear too flat. I didn't make the colors too complicated. For the black chess pieces, I used dark brown, and for the red chess pieces, I used a brighter red so that they're easy to see and not too glaring.

The entire model is sized according to the normal chess playing scale, and it's just the right size to fit on a table. When I was making it, I tried to replicate the appearance of real chess as much as possible, without adding too many fancy designs. I just wanted people to be able to tell at a glance that it's for playing chess - simple and practical.
