Being not well versed in Blender, I didn't manage to adapt @Echolalia's model to my cable. So I made a variant with OpenSCAD. It's not as good-looking, but easier for me.
It's easy to print and doesn't require supports.
Don't hesitate to let me know if you find it useful! I'm also open to ideas to improve it.
Printed in PETG, PLA, PLA-CF, Glow-in-the-dark PLA. All seem to work, but I don't how long they last yet.
Parameters are:
cable_d: diameter of the cable
cable_gland_d: diameter of the bigger bit that comes out of the plug
cable_gland_length: length of that thing
plug_width, plug_thickness, plug_length: should be self-explanatory
plug_holder_thickness: the wanted thickness of the plug cover
n_waves: wanted number of waves
wavelength: as the name implies
wave_breadth: how thick the waves are, not checked for consistency with wavelength
Adding/removing some for tolerance or compensating rounded corners is up to the user for now.
