Summary
I have a bad connector on my board where the power cord plugs in, so can't be moving the printer around to load/unload the filament without causing further damage... so I've been desperate for a side mount solution.
I love this design, and in test printing the fittings - they were dead on, and I like that it will handle the 1kg spools that the stock spindle holder won't. It came out extremely beefy & sturdy.
Only problem I had was that the original source file was too long to print the actual arm on my Ultimaker 2+ bed, also the top part that rests on the top ledge was too small. Maybe an issue since it was designed for a UM2, but I have a UM2+?
My remix shortens the arm so that it will print angled for the maximum size as well as rotating the spool clips at the end so that no matter what diameter the spool hole is, gravity has the clip at the top to retain the spool. So if you have the same problem, this might work!
At first I was concerned about the 90° bend to the back of the machine, but I've printed numerous items and the filament slides nicely around the corner to the extruder without too much tension.

NOTE the print positions I used in the tinkercad screen showing both items. Each piece took about 2 hours using a 0.6mm nozzle, and didn't require any supports.
I suggest using glue on the printbed at both ends of the arm piece, no other adhesion was necessary for me.
