Post-Printing
Step 1 - Break free
First break the slider free. This can be done by inserting a flat screwdriver in the gap opposite to the switching side. Shift it to each side multiple times with some force in different directions.
Step 2 - Make connectors
Use a flex cable, unisolate approx. 5 cm at the ends. Drill the flex and feed it though the hole and back through the other half hole. Now drill the cable together. This must be done for each side of the switch, for the sider and for the fidex part.
How I Designed This
With FreeCAD
Due to the fact that I could not find any electrical switch on thingiverse, I started to design the switch. It is not the best, but working.
I'm facinated with structures and parts that can move and are printed in a single loop. So I started to design the switch.
In the inner a special structure can be found which enables to break free. The electrical part is realized in a way that a little force presses both ends of the cable together. A nose and two holes in the upper region lead to a more or less 2 stable state.
