What does it do?
The Reversed Lens hood fits Canon EF and EFs lenses when reverse mounted. A reverse mounted standard lens performs like a macro. My Reversed Lens Hood fits onto the lenses bayonet mount and has the following benefits...
- Prevents stray light from entering your lens. (just like a regular lens hood)
- Protects the rear element
- Acts as a reflector to help illuminate your subject.
- Supports standard filters
Fits my diffuser. Reflector: (Use the template provided to cut silver foil or white paper circles and then glue these to the front of the hood. Alternatively, you can paint it white.
Locking nut: The locking nut adds extra security. Use a 12mm M2 hex socket head.
The diffuser In macro photography, it's challenging to get lighting instruments where you need them and particularly difficult to support them. This diffuser extends from the lens to above the subject. So any light, say a flash, pointing at the diffuser from behind will illuminate it like a softbox. I've had a lot of success with just the internal flash on my Canon, making it a tremendously convenient solution.

Notes:
- The layers and oblique angle diffuse the light even when the filament is clear. Use 10mm brims to help secure the diffuser.
