Introduction
This is an enclosure for the MegaWiFi Programmer V, a cart programmer and dumper supporting original carts for SEGA Megadrive/Genesis and Master System and also flash based carts such as:
It consists of 3 parts: the enclosure bottom piece, the top cover and the light pipe for the LED. The top and bottom parts can be printed as preferred. For the light pipe, use a transparent material and set up the slicer to maximize translucency (use the highest temperature the filament allows, use 100% infill and configure the slicer so all the lines go in the same direction across layers).
FreeCAD files are included for easy remixing. Printables has a nasty feature that renames the file extension lowercase, so if you are using a case sensitive filesystem (will most likely be the case if you are on Linux), make sure rename the extension from .fcstd to .FCStd.
Assembly
To assemble the enclosure you will need:
-
The 3 printed parts (top, bottom, light pipe)
-
The MegaWiFi programmer V PCB
-
Two M3x10 countersunk head screws
-
Two self-tapping M3x4 screws
Assembly is easy:
-
Place the light pipe on the PCB by inserting it in the two PCB holes on the sides of the LED.
-
Place the top part so it fits the light pipe and the USB-C port is properly seated on its slot.
-
Place the bottom part, and tighten the two M3x10 screws on the bottom of the case.
-
Tighten the two self-tapping M3x4 screws on the lower part of the PCB.
