Working on a dRehmFlight based flight controller, I wanted to mount a MPU6050 IMU onto a protoboard. I put female headers onto the board and plugged in the sensor.

Electrically, this is a sound connection. Mechanically, not so much. The sensor is able to wobble around or sit slanted, which is no good for an IMU.

Hence, I made a simple support block for solidly mounting the IMU onto the PCB. The underside of the support block is glued to the PCB, the sensor is mounted on top of it using 3mm screws.

The files include an OpenSCAD file to adjust the height.
