Summary
When I print on the glass bed I like to print right on the glass, no glue. But hey it doesn't stick. So I often print with brim. and I use https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3696217 to figure out where to put tape down so it is only under the brim so I get a nice slick shine (not the best photo with the over cast but you can see the window coverings in the reflection on the green can, [not all filament]). So what did I do, got in to fusion 360 and printed this (the tape is skewed in the photo). lay down some 3m/scotch #2020CG and cut 10mm strips. Remember to rotate the strip cut grooves are down in the stl, I printed up. If your slicer has ironing use it it is worth the extra five minutes to get a nicer surface. My print time was 2hr34min @ 40mm/sec .8mm walls 4 top/bottom 5% grid, ironing, 5 or 10mm brim, first layer half speed.
And this is way faster then doing a dry run.
Before I just hand tore the tape. Then I got smart and started keeping the rafts from prints to cut on. Then I wanted better straighter cuts.
