A bezel / bracket to fit one 3.5" floppy drive into a 5.25" drive bay. To the lower part, it has a row of vents and a place for an indicator light similar to how seagate harddrive bezels looked back in the day.

This is meant for added a 3.5" drive to the 2nd bay of a IBM 5155 portable computer in case the physical harddisk has been replaced with a solid state solution. See my vintage computer blog https://www.biesenhome.de/?p=629 for more information.

Goal was to capture the retro aesthaetic of the time. To that end, the drive indicator light is round and I replaced the LED with a round red one.

The bracket will fit a NEC 3.5" HD floppy drive, should work for others as well as long as the indicator light and button are in the same spot.

100% for the front, 15% Rest

If you slice in Cura:
Setup a "blocker" for the bezel part of this to:

• specify 100% infill (otherwise the front will have visible bumps)
• turn off supports (they are almost impossible to get out of the grille part)

Rest of the object can be printed with default settings.

Didn't do any finishing apart from removing supports.

Created from scratch in Fusion 360 based on technical drawings of the 3.5" drive and measurements I made on the 5155.
