The Mastersizer is a lab instrument for analyzing the size of particles, but its feeder tray has some disappointing performance in breaking up agglomerates. This clip mounts securely to the vibrating tray and holds a funnel, allowing you to load almost 3x the amount of powder. It also can be printed with variable infill, which does a good job at breaking down clumps into true particles for analysis.

Each funnel must be printed with no top or bottom layers. Gyroid infill acts as a filter mesh, and 15% fill has been a good number for carbonates and other dry powders. Adjust the infill for your needs and enjoy!

The funnels can be cleaned or used as disposable test items.
