The MAX Tapener HT-R line comes with its own tape spools that are rather small. If you want to use homemade, bigger and possibly also cheaper spools, this is for you.

The original spool holder can be easily removed and swapped for the printed alternative via three screws.

The design was created by outlining the shapes in Inkscape and then extruding them with OpenSCAD. Afterwards screwholes etc were added.

The provided files have German filenames. If this bothers you, remember to also change the OpenSCAD source, so that the files for extrusion will be found.

Post-Printing

• Use a 1.5 mm copper wire from electrical cabling for the hinge. Bend both ends like pictured above.
• To keep the spool holder closed, another short wire can be threaded to the center and also bent on both sides.
• It might be necessary to remove a small piece from the flap covering the tape on the bottom of the tools handle.
