A simple test and experiment of mine - To find out how thick and how much distance is required for LED hotspots to "disappear".

Tested on a 12V 5050 LED light strip, test diffusers in white PETG.

Quick conclusion - 1mm thick @ 12mm high seems to be the sweet spot. Of course, this will differ with the brightness and LED chips.
