Summary
Note: This model is currently quick work and untested.
Will updated once it has been tested.
- Quick LED lamp for the incoming 2011 Hurricane Irene...
- Insert LED's, Solder, GorillaPod it somewhere, And read through the hurricane.
- Two attachment pads that -should be- compatible with GorillaPod tripods.
- Back plate that shields electronics is held on by cantilever friction.
Instructions
Setup:
Insert 20 LEDs from lampshade side, bending each of the legs outwards to hold into the holes
Leave enough gap to allow LEDs to be bent and re-pointed compensate for narrow beams.
Soldering depends on your power source...
3 volts:
Each of the 4 rows should have 5 LEDs in parallel. connect the 4 rows in parallel.
Make sure to bend the LED legs the right way to make your life easier by aligning all.
12 Volts:
5 parallel rows of 4 LEDs in series
My Current plan is to implement a pulse-width-modulation circuit using a micro-controller, using a voltage-control feedback, basically implementing switching.
However, two 1.5v Alkaline batteries may accomplish the task as well, but will get dimmer with time (voltage falls off as battery is depleted.)
