I made this lamp a while ago using WS2812B LEDs and an esp32 with some simple sleep cycle logic to wake myself up at the optimal time so that I don't feel groggy after my alarm jolts me up. I recommend printing the lamp parts from wood-colored filaments. Also, the diffuser can be made from recyled diffusion sheet.
