Summary
This thing is for my girlfriend’s son who is a huge Yankees fan. It was inspired by the lamp of PZAFORRZA. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3729504) I wanted to modify his design slightly to use batteries but all I know how to use is tinkercad and his design is too much for tinkercad to handle so I had to make it from scratch. Ignore the obvious layer shift, it is a printer issue, not a design issue. I tried using the option in Cura to pause at height, move head, cool head, then move back on resume so I could install the LED light. I don’t know what happened, but it failed. If I had to do it again, I would just wait and pause the print, drop in the LED and wires, then resume. No moving the head.
I used 3v LEDs inside. 1 blue for the spot light and 2 color changing lights inside. I use 1 CR2032 battery to power it. I soldered the battery holder so it is always on. In the back are two holes for switches. The bottom is power. The top switches from spot to flood. I thought about 1 3-way switch that would go Spot-Off-Flood but didn’t want to buy one.
Print the insert separate and attach via epoxy or 3d pen (still learning my 3d pen) or both. That way you need less support inside. Or drop into tinkercad and merge the two.

I used tree supports for the medallions on the outside and tree supports for the cone inside. I stopped them from going all the way to the top. The infill behind the medallions was set to 7%, the rest of the ball 15% and the base about 50%.
