The 2016 BUTToN GEAR is here!

There are currently 6 styles uploaded. There is the Token version, the Functional version and a big fun Special Edition version each with hole or slot attachment options. As with all my designs these are guaranteed printable and have actually been printed and validated before uploading for your enjoyment.

The letters are larger than on the 2015 version for easier printing but these are fancier more complicated designs. A calibrated printer with a precisely leveled bed is required for good results. Depending on the effectiveness of your part cooling fan and retraction settings various amounts of minor clean up may be required.

The STL files are CURA scaled and oriented for printing. The options are available individually or as a single file download collection.

Use a calibrated filament. I use this one to calibrate each filament I use: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1037301.
0.4mm print head maximum.
Turn on retraction to minimize strings across the fine details.
A 0.2mm thick first layer helps to stick the small details to the bed when starting out.
A heated bed set at least to 60C for the first 0.5 of height and then turned down to 45C is recommended for PLA.
Part cooling fans come on at 0.3 - 0.4 and full speed at 0.5 when using PLA.
Top and bottom thickness recommended at 0.6 - 0.8mm.
