A simple wall mount for a plant pot.
The STL file is for an IKEA "Muskot" 12cm flower pot to be wall mounted using a single countersunk 6G screw.
The OpenSCAD file can be used to customise the print for pots (and wall mounting screws) of other dimensions. Options are:
- top/bottom diameter of flower pot
- height of flower pot
- thickness and location of the "ring" on the flower pot
- screw head radius/depth, and screw (threaded section) radius
- height of the wall mount section
- whether to use a "pin" or "wedge" for supporting the pot out from the wall (the pictures show the "wedge" support)
- whether to have a second screw hole at the bottom to provide "rotational" stability (the pictures show the "top screw only" option).
All measurements are in centimeters.
Print it upside down (with the ring at the bottom flat against the print bed) and you won't need any supports.

The print is "upside down" - that is, the ring should be on the print bed. It will print fine without any support.
This was designed entirely in OpenSCAD, which (in my humble opinion) is an awesome way of designing things.
Having been much more accustomed to doing things the GUI way (Blender etc), I thought I'd give OpenSCAD a quick bash, and I am finding that it really appeals to me as a way of solving a design problem - possibly it just suits my way of thinking about things, being a software engineer by trade. 😅
I'm just getting into it though, so don't use my code as an example of "how to do things" in OpenSCAD because a) it's been hacked together pretty quickly just to explore OpenSCAD and get something done as quickly as possible, b) I wouldn't accept the code in its current state in a code review and c) I'm still exploring and so there are probably much better ways to achieve the same thing!
