As part of the activities of the 20th Anniversary of the July 22nd Celebration, the new National Assembly building was inaugurated on Sunday 12th October 2014 in Banjul. The building was built by Sapooji Polonji, an Indian company. The cost of the building is 26 million dollars and is funded by the Indian government.
